How the fence calculator works

Posts = โŒˆ length รท spacing โŒ‰ + 1 ยท Pickets = โŒˆ length ร— 12 รท picket width โŒ‰

We divide your fence length by the post spacing to get the number of sections (and one more post than sections), multiply sections by the rails per section, and divide the total length by picket width for a solid privacy fence. Plan on about two bags of concrete per post.
